The Degasity group consists of 6 trading companies:

Degasity Pretoria, Degasity Middelburg, Degasity Burgersfort, Platinum Gas Polokwane, Platinum Gas Phalaborwa, Platinum Gas Potchefstroom, Mariepskop Gas Hoedspruit and Elegant Gas in Louis Trichardt.  These entities are trading within the geographies of Gauteng , North West Province and Limpopo and Mpumalanga and has a well-established customer base and brand presence in the areas in which we operate.

We pride ourselves as a major role player in the South African welding and gases industry operating independently but with the full back-up and support of our key suppliers.

We have a sound infrastructure for supply and delivery of Gases and Welding products to medium to large companies, as we have broadened our horizons throughout South Africa with an established and ever expanding network of 9 Branches in South Africa, totalling a staff compliment of just under 80 employees in total.

The Degasity Group further strongly believes in the promotion and development of South Africa, its people, their skills and the further development of local communities. We therefore not only further the development and plight of our own “Degasity Family” – but that of those less fortunate strong ties to communities though several outreach initiatives in communities where we have branches.

We also promote the safe use of LP gas via our network of container based gas businesses situated in various informal settlements throughout 3 provinces.

These containers not only gives local communities access to an affordable and safe energy source in the form of Liquid Petroleum (LP) Gas, but supplies several job opportunities throughout the network. Safety once again plays a vital part as the steady supply of regularly checked safe gas cylinders containing a safe and certified product goes a long way towards minimising the risk of shack fires.

The Degasity Group also invests in furthering education by providing/subsidizing LP Gas to several School feeding Schemes throughout South Africa.
